It's funny that you should draw a mermaid while I am in Copenhagen where the little mermaid has her statue... Anyway, I really like your drawing because she really looks like a marine creature. Her arms and her face in particular remind me of other aquatic animals and I am much more willing to believe in a mermaid looking like yours than in a in straight forward half-woman half-fish hybrid.
